Time and Light

Time is an illusion

Time is an illusion

195°  Timed exposures fascinate me. In life we move from one moment to the next as time moves without interruption in a positive direction. A long exposure image reveals the nature of time as we see a subject that exists over several seconds or minutes.

In this exposure the a street light offers enough light in 30-seconds to allow a ghost image of me. If I didn’t stop my movement I would have been invisible to the camera, or a very light blur. It all has to do with how fast I move and how much light is available.
