Waves of Spring

Crocus don’t understand Reno Winters

11°  Spring in Reno is not a one-time event. As the Polar Jet Stream loops down across the Northwestern United States, we experience warm, Spring-like temperatures, followed by high wind, followed by a little precipitation, followed by cold air, followed a few weeks later by another Spring.

Last week was warm, so the next three will be cool. If we get a heavy snow, it will be cold and foggy for two months. That’s Winter and Spring in Reno, Nevada.
